During the Jazzmozaiek evening at Jazz Hoeilaart on Friday 23 September, Frank Vaganée was honoured the first Jazzmozaiek Award. The magazine Jazzmozaiek, published by Muziekmozaiek vzw, was keen to put a Belgian jazz musician in the spotlight, with an award based on the musician's merits and this last year's achievements - all in the spirit of Jazz Hoeilaart, with a focus on expansion, renewal and rejuvenation.

Frank Vaganée has been awarded the title of Ambassador of the Arts of the City of Mechelen for two years (from April 2011 to April 2013). A true citizen of Mechelen at heart, Frank is bursting with plans to put Mechelen on the jazz map. Details to follow!
